These terms explain the rules for accessing MeroBasai, creating an account, posting listings, responding to ads, and using the platform responsibly. They are intended to reflect how MeroBasai works today as a Nepal-focused rental listing platform.

By accessing or using MeroBasai, you agree to these terms and to any related policies we make available on the platform. If you do not agree, you should not use the site or its services.
You may browse some parts of MeroBasai without an account, but you need an account to post listings, post room-wanted ads, and use account-based features. You must provide accurate information, keep your login details secure, and not create accounts for misleading, abusive, or fraudulent use. You must be legally capable of entering into these terms and should only register for yourself or for a business you are authorised to represent.
MeroBasai is a rental listing and discovery platform. We do not own the listed properties, we do not act as the landlord in the rental relationship, and we do not manage deposits, rent collection, tenancy agreements, or appointments unless we clearly launch a separate service that says otherwise. Users are responsible for verifying listing details, availability, pricing, and suitability directly with the advertiser.
When you post a property listing or a room-wanted ad, you must ensure the content is truthful, accurate, and not misleading. Listings must relate to genuine residential rental opportunities or genuine rental requirements. You must have the right to advertise the property or to post on behalf of the landlord or advertiser. Deceptive, bait-style, or clearly irrelevant ads may be edited, suspended, or removed.
You must not use MeroBasai to harass others, impersonate another person, upload unlawful or infringing content, distribute malware, scrape the platform without permission, or use the service in a way that could damage the platform or put other users at risk. Communications with other users and with MeroBasai should remain respectful and lawful.
MeroBasai offers its core rental discovery and listing features for free and does not charge landlords or tenants to use those core parts of the platform. Unless explicitly stated, MeroBasai does not process rental payments between landlords and tenants and is not responsible for deposits, refunds, or off-platform payment disputes.
You remain responsible for the content you upload, including photos, descriptions, contact details, and preferences. By posting on MeroBasai, you confirm that you have the right to use that content on the platform. We may review, refuse, edit, limit, hide, or remove content that appears misleading, unlawful, unsafe, abusive, duplicated, or inconsistent with the way MeroBasai is intended to be used.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to MeroBasai, or remove specific content, if we reasonably believe a user has breached these terms, created legal or safety risk, or used the platform in a way that harms other users or the service. You may stop using the platform at any time, but content or records may be retained where reasonably necessary for moderation, legal, operational, or security reasons.
MeroBasai aims to provide a useful and reliable service, but listings and user-generated content are provided by users and advertisers, not independently guaranteed by us. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, the accuracy of all listings, or successful rental outcomes. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Your use of MeroBasai is also subject to our privacy and data-handling practices. By using the platform, you understand that we may collect and process account, listing, contact, and usage information as needed to provide and improve the service, keep it secure, and communicate with users.
Users are responsible for ensuring that their listings, rental activity, and communications comply with the laws and regulations that apply to them. These terms are intended for a Nepal-focused rental platform, but users accessing the service from elsewhere must still comply with applicable local law. If a dispute arises between users, those users remain primarily responsible for resolving it directly, though MeroBasai may review reports and take moderation action where appropriate.
